Dear 2S Families,

I hope you all had a great weekend. 2S students are working hard in the classroom and are enjoying the start of our States of Matter unit. We have also spent some time talking about Dr, Martin Luther King Jr. and his efforts that have made the world a better place. Below you will find a few tidbits of upcoming events for SMS. You will also find a link from the SMS PTO about the Mother/Son Night. Have a great weekend and stay warm.

Mother/Son Minute to Win It Game Night & Ice Cream Social www.signupgenius.com On Friday, January 20th, the SMS PTO and the 4th Grade will be hosting the Mother/Son Minute to Win It Game Night & Ice Cream social. Your help is needed to make this a success and this event offers Dads & older siblings a chance to give back! Setup begins at 5:45pm and should last about 30 minutes. The ice cream social will start at 6:30pm in the cafeteria but the games will begin at 6:45pm in the gym. Games are setup in stations and and we request staffing at each game to be 1 adult OR 1-2 older siblings/SMS alumni. Both the ice cream social and games will end at 8:00pm. Breakdown begins at 8:00pm and lasts about 30 minutes or less. Thank you for volunteering!
